Hi guys! It is now time for my 4th skincare samples review and rating post! I started out writing just about samples but now it has transformed into samples, free products and purchases! I’m really trying to stick with only samples but I had to write about a certain item this time around! I hope you’re enjoying my reviews and that they help you when choosing new products or samples! I always appreciate reviews on basically anything. It really weighs my decisions on what is worth my money or which samples to try. Keep in mind this is my opinion on these products and others might feel differently! Skincare Samples- Review Number 4! 1. Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil $16-$96 ($115 value for biggest size) Sephora I have had this product for a while but felt the need to hold off on using it. My mom loves this oil so I finally gave it a try. The first time I used it in my hair after a shower. I applied too much and my hair looked like a grease ball, ah!! So I pulled it up and left it as an oil treatment and showered again in the morning. My hair was smooth afterwards. Most recently with the weather being extremely cold and my normal hand lotion just wasn’t cutting it, I decided to use this product as a lotion. I applied a generous amount because of how terrible my hands looked and felt and it soaked up the entire product. Even though it is oil, it was not greasy and I liked that! In combination with the oil, I used a lotion that I recently received in my FabFitFun box, which I am going to review next… The Argan oil greatly helped my hands heal. After 3 days of application in the morning and at night my hands are not so dry anymore. They are still a bit rough but I’m going to continue using this awesome mixture I created. I rate this product a 5. 2. Juara Skincare Candlenut Body Crème $35 Juara Skincare Bloomingdales I received this product in the Winter 2015 FabFitFun box! I was going to hold off on using this because I have been trying so many other samples but I couldn’t resist. The scent is very strong but smells amazing!! It reminds me of taking a vacation on a warm tropical island. It is made from rice bran oil, avocado oil and candlenuts among other ingredients. I have never heard of candlenut before so I had to Google it. Sometimes I have reactions to nuts and I wanted to be sure before using it. They are considered a seed and they physically look like a shelled macadamia nut but are never ever eaten raw because they can be toxic and they are okay to eat roasted but contribute to laxative effects. My opinion is don’t eat them if you have an allergy to macadamia/walnuts or if you don’t want stomach distress! I used this lotion on top of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil and it worked so beautifully. My hands did not feel greasy what so ever, they smelled great and my hands felt very smooth. A recent trend in beauty products is to infuse the products that you already have. For example, Cover FX offers vitamin-enriched solutions that you can add to skincare and makeup products as well as their pigmented foundation drops to customize makeup and moisturizer. This time I made my own! Mixing the Argan oil with the candlenut crème was a dream. I have never used anything that worked so quickly. I definitely recommend this mixture to anyone with dry skin. It will save you in the wintertime. I just checked on Juara’s website and they are unfortunately sold out, however Bloomingdales is selling it as well. This product is clearly a hit and you should try it out! I would rate this product a 5. 3. Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel $28 Sephora This cleanser is a gel form and I have found from trying different gel cleansers that they clean a lot more thoroughly. You also don’t need a whole bunch of product because it lathers quickly. I don’t have much to say about this product. It had a nice clean scent; there are no preservatives, which I really like. A lot of high end skincare brands don’t go the natural route. If you are looking for a cleanser that is free of preservatives, parabens and sulfates then this is for you! I would rate this a 3. There is nothing wrong with it but it just didn’t do anything for me. 4. GLAMGLOW Thirsty Cleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser $14-$39 Sephora I’ve tried so many GLAMGLOW samples lately, and I’m on a roll! This cleanser smells delicious, like a sandy beach and the Thirsty cleanse mask. It is a nice cleanser that keeps your face hydrated after wiping away the product with water. You also don’t need much product to cover your face. I would rate this product a 4. I really liked the product and would maybe consider purchasing the smaller bottle if I ran out of all the cleansers I already own. Thanks again for reading my reviews and ratings!
