Hi! This post is dedicated to the samples that have been hiding in my drawer for way too long! I haven't wrote about samples in a while because my skin has been terrible and I didn't want to try something new. It's still terrible now but I was able to try a few things that you might want to know more about. If you've tried any of these products before, comment and let me know!! If you're thinking about purchasing any, also comment <3 Skincare Sample Reviews 1. Algenist Anti-Aging Repairing Oil $82 Sephora I can only assume I got this as a Sephora 100 point perk a long time ago. I had it sitting in my samples drawer so I figured it was about time to use it. This is an oil so it does not have any kind of scent to it. I tried it on my face and it did feel way too oily. It also broke me out a little bit. I decided not to throw it away and use it on my neck. I’m so glad I did! We all forget about treating our neck for skin problems and since everyone is on a computer or phones, we get tech-neck, horizontal lines on your neck. It will loosen the collagen and it’s one of the reasons all of us young people are getting double chins already, even if you don’t have much fat anywhere else. I did like this for the neck, made the wrinkles less noticeable and my skin was very smooth. The price is very expensive so I would rate this a 2 out of 5. A better alternative could be the Tarte Maracuja Oil or Josie Maran Argan Oil. 2. Tarte Cosmetics: Rainforest of the Sea Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer $39 Sephora This was a 100 point perk at Sephora and I heard some good reviews on it so I said why not! I absolutely loved it! When I first opened it the scent seemed very strong due to the essential oils within the formula, but when you apply the lotion to your skin, you cannot smell them. It is a gel formula and a little goes a long way. I originally put my Kiehl’s lotion on auto-replenish but after finishing this sample I wanted more! This formula also has hyaluronic acid to help nourish and add moisture to your skin. I would rate this a 5 out of 5. 3. Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution $49.50- $132 Kiehl’s I received this as a packet sample from Kiehl’s online store with a purchase I made. I’m always interested in trying something for dark spots because my acne never seems to go away, there are always spots lingering around for EVER. The packet was extremely messy, the liquid was thin and I was not expecting that much to come out. It should have been in a deluxe size sample tube or dropper. I loved this on my skin. I did see my face clear up a bit more and my spots disappear slightly. It is gentle on the skin as well. I think it is rather pricey, however I think I’m going to see if I can get a bigger sample before purchasing. I would rate this a 4 out of 5. 4. Caudalie Resversatrol Lift Firming Serum $82 Sephora I also had this stashed in my drawer for a while and decided to use it. The scent is very strong, sort of woodsy, so if you do not like scented facial treatments on your face, this will not be for you. I, however still wanted to try it and the scent goes away pretty fast. I think it did help with dullness; wrinkles less noticeable and my face did actually have a small lift. I didn’t look as tired; I looked more youthful than normal. I would rate this a 4 out of 5 based on the product itself, but since it’s so expensive I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing. I hope you liked my review on these products! Comment below if you were able to test these products out or if you plan on purchasing them after this review.

Hi Readers! To start off this post I wanted to disclose that I received these products complementary of Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. I am so excited that I got my first Voxbox this month from Influenster! It is a hair care box from the brand, Kérastase. The two items are from the Résistance line, which is directed at individuals with damaged hair. I have heard of Kérastase but never tried samples or purchased from them before. There are two steps to the regime I was given. Step 1 is to cleanse and Step 2 is to treat. First, I will talk about Step 1 then Step 2. Below I will go into as much detail as I can about the products and will let you know my opinion on how I liked the hair products. Step 1: Cleanse Bain Force Architecte Repairing and Reconstructing Shampoo for Damaged Hair. “It gently cleanses damaged hair, strengthening from roots to ends while helping to prevent breakage.” The packaging is very sleek and clean, which I love about any sort of hair care product. The top twists off and you can squeeze a small amount into your hands and wash your hair as normal. It smells so amazing! It is not over powering, it lathers nicely and easy to rinse out of the hair. Once it was rinsed out and my hair was still wet, I could smell the scent in my hair. It was really nice; my hair felt very clean and rejuvenated. It did feel a bit dry so I was looking forward to step 2. The shampoo retails $20.50 for 80ml and $41 for 250ml. I received the 250ml bottle. I would definitely continue using this shampoo. I love how it makes my hair feel. I would rate this a 4 out of 5 due to the price. Highly recommend to someone who needs to repair his or her hair. Step 2: Treat Masque Force Architecte Repairing Reconstructing Masque for Damaged Hair. “Deeply conditions damaged hair, reconstructing and strengthening hair from the inside out. The packaging is in a small tub. It has a similar twist off top, like the shampoo and you can take out the product with your hands. Since this is a mask, you cover your whole hair in it and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes. This masque smelled really great. I loved how it felt on my hair. Once I rinsed it off my hair felt so smooth and silky when wet. One thing I did not like about the masque is that is had wheat protein, therefore it is technically not gluten free. Overall my hair once blow-dried, was extremely smooth and straight. Usually my hair is wavy but I could get away with not flat ironing it, and if I did, the time cut in half. The retail value of the 75ml tub is $20.50 and the 200ml is $63. I received the 200ml tub. I would rate this a 4 out of 5 mainly because of the gluten and the price is steep. A little product does go a long way and would be worth the price for anyone who needs to strengthen his or her hair. My summary of the 2-step system is that it lives up to the expectations and it is noticeable to my peers, friends and family. They see a change in my hair and I do as well. Below I have two pictures, one before I used the Kérastase and one after using Kérastase. I hope you liked my review on these products! Use the code:JXJCX Hi Readers, It is finally Fall!! The best time of year for many reasons. To start off, I have been more active on my Instagram account @michellelobrace, focusing on how to take still photos, perfecting techniques, and testing on what my viewers want to see. Now that I have an idea, more videos will be on the way. My computer is full, my MacBook Pro Laptop has 0 storage space and will not let me save anything unless I delete items. Turns out, my external hard drive is ALSO full. What are the odds?! With the new MacBook coming out, I might look into purchasing that. I will be posting more on here because I have fun projects that I have yet to tell you guys! Now to part 1 of this post, Halloween! Use the code:JXJCX Halloween 2016 Makeup Looks I wanted to do a functional funky Halloween makeup look that anyone of any age could create for school, work or a party. If you don't like to dress up in a full costume, this is a fun glam look that you could do, to be in the spirit! It is a big smokey eye, wing, silver glitter for a "highlight" effect, rhinestones, and fake glittery spiders to pull the look together! I do not have specifics of this particular makeup look. You can buy the spiders and rhinestones with adhesive at any party supply store. The glitter is from Martha Stewart, at the craft store. I don't suggest using craft glitter, however it was all I had on hand. Makeup stores or drugstores have glitter you can you for your face. Hope you like this look as much as I did!! It was fun for me to get a little creative. I was inspired by Desi Perkins, beauty influencer, to create this gold dripped look. She created a dripping ice cream cone and it was a hit with many beauty lovers on social media! She is an amazing artist. I did not have any pink makeup to recreate the look, so I thought I love gold and I've been wanting to do something different so why not? I used foundation, a liquid eyeliner, brown matte eyeshadow, mascara, gold highlighters from multiple brands and a gold water based face paint from the Halloween store. Since I had a hard time recreating a drip, I literally dripped the face paint down my cheek and let it dry. If you want to try something like this next year, go for it! Makeup is all about creativity. Fun News!!!! Now, onto part 2 of this post. I was on my Instagram because I posted a selfie of my most recent makeup look. I tag all the brands in my pictures so they can see that I love the products they produce. I use dr. brandt's Pores No More Pore Refining Primer whenever I need that extra layer on my skin to reduce pores, mattify or if I need to hide blemishes. I went to their page and saw they were hosting a contest regarding the primer. I love it, of course I entered...guess what? I was one of the winners which is AMAZING!! I was so happy, I never win anything haha!! My selfie, along with the other beautiful women who won, will be featured on the travel size of the primer that releases in December 2016. It might not seem like a big thing, but this is a huge accomplishment. Like, I could be in Sephora!!! I will keep you all posted on when I receive my primer and when exactly it's on shelves. Stay tuned and for now the pictures above are of my selfie and what dr. brandt reposted! If you are interested in what I used in this look, please refer to my post on Instagram and follow me! I really hope you liked these Halloween makeup looks and that you're just as excited as I am to work with dr. brandt!! Thank you so much for watching my videos and reading my blog!! I really appreciate it! I am most active on my Instagram account @michellelobrace, so go find me!! Comment below with ideas for future videos!
