Dear readers, Hi! It’s been CRAZY! New Jersey was hit hard with the snow. Blizzard Jonas came in strong, with my area getting 29 inches of snow! Most of my snow days consisted of shoveling, organizing, cooking, working out and attempting to take pictures of the snow. I hope everyone else had eventful snow days as well! I am onto my next skincare samples review! I added some items that are not samples but products I’ve recently purchased. I thought a review was necessary. Check out the reviews and let me know if you feel the same way! Skincare Samples- Review Number 3! 1. SK-II Essential Power Essence $125 Sephora I’ve heard of this skincare brand before and I knew that their products are extremely high in price. When I saw that I could get a sample I was excited to see if this product is worth the amount of money. I got a small sample of this product, 1 application. I washed my face and then applied the essence (serum) onto my face and it had a nice scent. It wasn’t strong at all. You could barely smell it. Once it dried it made my face feel tight, as if it got a face-lift. My pores did temporarily shrink and my face looked brighter and fresh. I would definitely like to try this product again but the price is just out of this world to even consider purchasing. Maybe once I have a really great job I’ll try this product again. I would rate this a 4, mainly because of the price. 2. Paula’s Choice Resist 25% Vitamin C Spot Treatment $19-$55 Paula’s Choice I have also heard of Paula’s Choice but never got around to trying anything from the company. I got a deluxe size free sample and I’ve been using it for around 2 weeks now. I had a crazy skin breakout from that Sheseido sample I tried and whenever I get breakouts, they always leave dark spots. It’s like the zit never goes away so when I got this product I was hopeful. My dark spots have lightened, however they are not gone. I think the treatment will work with continual use. Current rating is a 3.5. 3. Peter Thomas Roth Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel $38 Sephora I have used this deluxe sized sample for over a month and I thought it was time to give you feedback on it! When I initially used the product I used it 2 days in a row and my face became very dry because of the “acids” they use. I decided to use the product 2-3 times a week and I love it! You need only a dime size at most because it foams once you start washing your face. My face felt smooth and looked brighter. It also has a peachy scent and it is not overwhelming. I definitely noticed a difference when using this cleanser. I would recommend using this product at night, every other day, following with a non-alcoholic based moisturizer. If you plan on being in the sun please use an SPF. Your skin will burn! If you plan on going on a vacation don’t use this cleanser, I’d say for about a week before. I’d rate this product a 5. 4. Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser $12.95-$31.95 Lush Cosmetics I wanted to try this product for sooooo long but the small size was always sold out! The container is a lot smaller than I expected when I received it in the mail. The scent was a bit overpowering but I got used to it. It smells like licorice or fennel but once you use it, the scent goes away. You break off a piece of the mixture, it is a very soft solid, and mix a tiny bit of water to make a paste. I wet my face and applied the mixture to my face in circular motions. The worst part of this was wiping it off!!! I couldn’t get all of the dark specs off of my face until my face was dry. However, it took a little more effort than expected, it made my face feel smooth and bright. Active charcoal is an ingredient in this cleanser and it removes toxins. Tonight I’m going to try it in the shower! Oh yeah I know this isn’t a sample but I’m going to expand on reviewing products! Will update on the shower experience…I rate this product a 3. 5. Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Face Wash $13-$45 Kiehl's Lately I have been venturing into different brands because it’s important to change your skincare routine. Your skin changes and the cells shed…I know it might sound gross but it does! And as you get older you need to use different products for different concerns. I just tried this gel face cleanser and it felt great. It was foamy and made my face feel so clean!! I put a serum on afterwards and moisturizer. It’s now a half hour later and my pores look smaller! I could be wrong but the gel is sticky and I think it picks up oil and dirt out of your pores closing them up to any oil and dirt that want to invade. You don’t need much of the product because it foams and spreads throughout. I am not sure I would buy this product right now but in the future I will definitely consider it! I rate this a 4. Thank you so much for reading my blog and taking the time to say nice things! I hope you continue reading and check out my other accounts!

Hey guys, I'm onto round 2 of my skincare samples! I sampled the GLAMGLOW Super Cleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser, Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate, Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment and Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil. Hope you find these reviews and ratings helpful! Don’t forget to comment below if you’ve used these products! Skincare Samples- Review Number 2! 1. GLAMGLOW Super Cleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser $14-$39 Sephora Like I said in my previous post I love GLAMGLOW products and when I see any sample they're offering I go for it! I received a small packet, one use of this face wash. This is a mud to foam formula. Apply and add water and it foams, activates the mud, and clears the skin. I did not care for the scent at all. If you like the taste of black licorice, that is what your face is going to smell like. Although I didn't care for the scent, I did think it thoroughly cleaned my face well. I would rate this product a 3. 2. Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate $67-$125 Sephora This concentrate is apparently supposed to enhance serums that you put on your skin afterward. First impression was that it didn't have a funny scent and it went on smoothly. That was the only good thing about this product. Half of the day goes by and I started breaking out like crazy. I rarely get zits and if I do it's one here or there. I have 5 large zits that are taking FOREVER to go away. I haven't changed anything in my diet or routine to make this happen. I am so mad I decided to use this product. I didn't even use a serum afterwards because sometimes my skin can be sensitive. I just applied a thin layer of an oil-free moisturizer. I would rate this product a 1. 3. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment $15-$27 Sephora I LOVED the way this product smelled! It was very fresh and my hair smelled really great even after blow drying. It made my hair feel nice and it didn't appear frizzy or dry. I wash my hair every other day and with this product I had to wash it everyday. I have such long hair and it is thick so it is very inconvenient to blow dry it every single day. My scalp was also flaky! I wash my hair correctly with a sulfate free shampoo therefore there is never any residue so I could only assume the product did this to it. Would I use this product again? Yes I would but maybe if I was going out to an event but it would not suit me for every day use. I'd rate this product a 3. 4. Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil $40 Sephora I've had this sample for a while because whenever I see the word oil in a product I use it extremely sparingly. With that being said it has lasted a long time and I can give you an accurate rating. The product is oil but it didn't feel sticky or "oily" while applying. It had a light fruity scent that didn't last long but the texture of my hair felt really nice! After blow drying, my hair was silky and smooth, no frizziness. I could last up to 3 days washing my hair! People may say that's crazy but it held up really nicely. In case you are confused, I still shower...I just wrap my hair in a towel so it doesn't get wet. Anyways, I really like this product and would consider buying it in the future. $40 is a lot of money in my opinion to spend on a hair product but with the amount I use, I will have this product for a long long time. I rate this product a 4.5. Hope these reviews help you out if you were thinking of purchasing any of the items!! Feel free to comment below with your opinion if you've tried these products as well!

As part of the new year my family and I are REALLY trying to not waste as much food. For some reason we had 3 containers of blueberries in the fridge and sooner before later they will go to waste. I went searching through the cabinets, fridge and freezer for something to make. I had a frozen gluten-free pie crust that needed to be used up and I thought, perfect!! I can make tartlettes. I call them tartlettes because there is no cream or custard filling. I wouldn't call it a pie because it doesn't have crust on the top or crumble, it's open-faced. The recipe is not 100% accurate because I made this for the first time about an hour ago and winged it. My guessing is usually spot on so take what you want for it! You can also you any other kind of berry in this recipe also. Raspberry, blackberry, a mixture of them, strawberries. I hope you enjoy this recipe! Comment below if you tried my recipe or if you used other substitutions.
