Hi Readers, I came up with a new recipe last week and it was so good! I went a bit out of my comfort zone for this recipe, I know you might think how is this out of your comfort zone?! But my diet has been pretty restricted due to my stomach issues. I made Citrus Pork Tacos with a Cabbage-Apple Slaw. There is no mayo in this slaw, which is AMAZING! Everyone that knows me, knows I hate mayonnaise with a passion so for all you people out there who can’t eat mayo due to egg allergies, you can eat this! This is gluten free, corn free, egg free, wheat free and dairy free. My pictures aren't that great but I'm working on it! Hope you try this recipe and like it as much as I did. Share it with your friends if you liked it! If you don’t have tortillas you can have it with rice or eat it as a sandwich. You can also add avocado for a bit of creaminess! If you’d like, you can heat up the tortillas in the oven or in a pan on the stove. I really liked this recipe. I’m trying to add more protein to my diet and I’m also trying to branch out of my comfort zone. Cabbage is not something I would have tried before but it has so many health benefits, that would benefit me so why not?! The meal is very light and flavorful. If you like your pork smokier, add liquid smoke or some cumin and paprika to the zested mixture. Comment below or email me if you made or tasted this recipe with other substitutions!

Hi guys! It is now time for my 4th skincare samples review and rating post! I started out writing just about samples but now it has transformed into samples, free products and purchases! I’m really trying to stick with only samples but I had to write about a certain item this time around! I hope you’re enjoying my reviews and that they help you when choosing new products or samples! I always appreciate reviews on basically anything. It really weighs my decisions on what is worth my money or which samples to try. Keep in mind this is my opinion on these products and others might feel differently! Skincare Samples- Review Number 4! 1. Josie Maran 100 Percent Pure Argan Oil $16-$96 ($115 value for biggest size) Sephora I have had this product for a while but felt the need to hold off on using it. My mom loves this oil so I finally gave it a try. The first time I used it in my hair after a shower. I applied too much and my hair looked like a grease ball, ah!! So I pulled it up and left it as an oil treatment and showered again in the morning. My hair was smooth afterwards. Most recently with the weather being extremely cold and my normal hand lotion just wasn’t cutting it, I decided to use this product as a lotion. I applied a generous amount because of how terrible my hands looked and felt and it soaked up the entire product. Even though it is oil, it was not greasy and I liked that! In combination with the oil, I used a lotion that I recently received in my FabFitFun box, which I am going to review next… The Argan oil greatly helped my hands heal. After 3 days of application in the morning and at night my hands are not so dry anymore. They are still a bit rough but I’m going to continue using this awesome mixture I created. I rate this product a 5. 2. Juara Skincare Candlenut Body Crème $35 Juara Skincare Bloomingdales I received this product in the Winter 2015 FabFitFun box! I was going to hold off on using this because I have been trying so many other samples but I couldn’t resist. The scent is very strong but smells amazing!! It reminds me of taking a vacation on a warm tropical island. It is made from rice bran oil, avocado oil and candlenuts among other ingredients. I have never heard of candlenut before so I had to Google it. Sometimes I have reactions to nuts and I wanted to be sure before using it. They are considered a seed and they physically look like a shelled macadamia nut but are never ever eaten raw because they can be toxic and they are okay to eat roasted but contribute to laxative effects. My opinion is don’t eat them if you have an allergy to macadamia/walnuts or if you don’t want stomach distress! I used this lotion on top of Josie Maran’s Argan Oil and it worked so beautifully. My hands did not feel greasy what so ever, they smelled great and my hands felt very smooth. A recent trend in beauty products is to infuse the products that you already have. For example, Cover FX offers vitamin-enriched solutions that you can add to skincare and makeup products as well as their pigmented foundation drops to customize makeup and moisturizer. This time I made my own! Mixing the Argan oil with the candlenut crème was a dream. I have never used anything that worked so quickly. I definitely recommend this mixture to anyone with dry skin. It will save you in the wintertime. I just checked on Juara’s website and they are unfortunately sold out, however Bloomingdales is selling it as well. This product is clearly a hit and you should try it out! I would rate this product a 5. 3. Boscia Purifying Cleansing Gel $28 Sephora This cleanser is a gel form and I have found from trying different gel cleansers that they clean a lot more thoroughly. You also don’t need a whole bunch of product because it lathers quickly. I don’t have much to say about this product. It had a nice clean scent; there are no preservatives, which I really like. A lot of high end skincare brands don’t go the natural route. If you are looking for a cleanser that is free of preservatives, parabens and sulfates then this is for you! I would rate this a 3. There is nothing wrong with it but it just didn’t do anything for me. 4. GLAMGLOW Thirsty Cleanse Daily Hydrating Cleanser $14-$39 Sephora I’ve tried so many GLAMGLOW samples lately, and I’m on a roll! This cleanser smells delicious, like a sandy beach and the Thirsty cleanse mask. It is a nice cleanser that keeps your face hydrated after wiping away the product with water. You also don’t need much product to cover your face. I would rate this product a 4. I really liked the product and would maybe consider purchasing the smaller bottle if I ran out of all the cleansers I already own. Thanks again for reading my reviews and ratings! As I promised I would tell you about my experience with HelloFresh. HelloFresh is a meal service where they send fresh ingredients to your home and you make the meals from scratch. Meals can get sent to your house weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. You can also pause your subscription and reactivate it when you find it most convenient. They have 3 meals for 2 people, 3 meals for 4 people, 4 meals for 2 people and 5 meals for 2 people. Also you have a choice of a classic box, which includes meat and fish options, veggie box, which is self-explanatory and a family box where you get more ingredients for a family. For more details on the plans please check the website! You can also choose the drop off day, which I like. I however chose the 3 meals for 2 people plan. I had a gift card to use toward 2 meals. Instead of $70 I paid half, which is $35. I was confused at first but then I realized the 2 meals were actually 3 portions that were considered free. Therefore, 1 portion of each meal was free. Anyways, I received a chicken dish, a beef dish and a pork dish. When I opened the box of food, there were small sealed boxes labeled with the non-meat items, which included all of the ingredients. Once you take the boxes out there is a layer of insulation. The foil kind that you might see in the reusable grocery bags to keep items cold. Underneath the foil there was a layer of freezer packs and underneath that was the meat. The meat stayed cold, however the whole bottom of the box was leaky! I was very disappointed in that since I’m so OCD about meat. I rinsed off all the packages and checked for any tears in the packaging and there was nothing. I just assumed it was frozen and from the delivery handling it became leaky. Brown Sugar and Blackening Seasoned Pork Tenderloin |
